CLIQUES

• What irritates you about other people, and how do you deal with it?

I will be writing about cliques and how I deal with them because cliques are becoming very popular nowadays and are very annoying when you are attending high school. Cliques make lots of people lives difficult and some people have committed suicide because of people picking on them for being a geek, nerd, prep, or jock. It really doesn’t matter what you are as long as you can fit in with everybody. I hate that we have cliques at Neenah High School because we can never join together for a cause. There is a saying that there is no I in TEAM, so Neenah High School should act like a team and not have cliques.  

Jocks/Football players- Jocks and Football Players at Neenah High School act like they are invincible and I know a football senior that thinks that he owns this school and that he can tell me where I sit in a class that we have together and that he can control me. I deal with it by ignoring him and telling him that he can’t control underclassmen like they are his personal servants.

Preps- There are a lot of preppy people at Neenah High School. Preppy people are stuck-up, they like wearing expensive clothes, and they act like they are better than everyone and the only people they treat with respect is their own kind and their parents. I deal by ignoring the preps and staying away from the group.

Geeks- The people that pretty much know everything about everything. They have been called freaks for just being themselves. There is nothing wrong this clique because they stay away from everybody. I have friends that are geeks and they are the coolest people on the planet because they actually know what they are talking about unlike some people.

Nerds- The most picked on clique of all of them, they don’t fit in with anybody. They have been called stupid or unattractive, and the worst is yet to come. They been called retards or irritable, and not effective. Single minded nerds are cool too. They know their video games,they are addicted to t.v. and everything electronic and don’t forget the books. Which this applies to me. I love reading, watching t.v. shows, and love fanfiction, this includes my friends.

So in conclusion we should remember to work together towards a common goal such as graduating. It doesn’t matter what clique you are in, we should talk to each other, hang out, and at least do something different with another clique.
